| Description |
English: Overgrown railway cutting. It now provides a sheltered place for gamebirds such as pheasants and partridges which are being fed here. The trees growing in and alongside it are marked as a strip woodland on OS maps. This long since closed section of railway trackbed once served the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway line which ran from Melton Constable to North Walsham between Corpusty > 1257408 and Aylsham North > 1290565. The line opened in the late 19th century and closed again in 1916. This short section of dismantled and overgrown trackbed is situated just northeast of the former Bluestone station > 1319237. |
