Description In den Jahren 1902-1906 wurde die Orthodoxe Kathedrale in Sibiu-Hermannstadt nach Plänen der Architekten Josef Kommer und V.Nagy errichtet. Sie ist eine Nachempfindung der Hagia Sofia aus Konstantinopel, in kleinerem Maßstab. Die Ikonenmalerei wurde von Octavian Smighelski durchgeführt. Der Kandelaber unter der Kuppel ist eine Arbeit der Firma Zeisen-Habinger aus Wien.
