Description

Orchestre traditionnel d'Okinawa accompagnant les danses de cour et les danses populaires

L'orchestre est composé d'un joueur de flûte au premier plan, de deux joueuses de Koto à gauche, de trois joueurs de Sanshin à droite et d'une joueuse de tambour au fond (non visible sur la photo).

Le sanshin est un luth à 3 cordes, c'est l'instrument traditionnel le plus caractéristique de la culture d'Okinawa, il est issu du Sanxian chinois.

La troupe est composée de quinze danseurs et sept musiciens, sous la direction de Mme Yamada Tatsuko, fondatrice de l’école Muyûge, Trésor vivant de la Danse Traditionnelle d'Okinawa

Un remarquable et étonnant spectacle présenté dans l'auditorium du musée Guimet (responsable de la programmation Hubert Laot) avec le soutien de l'Ambassade du Japon en France et de divers mécènes japonais
