Description
English: Opus WD2791 Disc Controller (bottom).An alternate disc controller to the Acorn 8271 DFS controller. The WD2791 disc controller supports single and double density modes, but a search for a data sheet for it has not been successful. The WD2791 disc controller requires the Opus EDOS DFS to be installed in a sideway ROM socket, while the daughterboard plugs into IC78 in the BBC micro.In July 1985 Acorn User published a comparative review of DFSs titled "DFS Command Performance ".
