Description
Nederlands: Vanaf 1875 trok Weissenbruch iedere zomer naar het dorp Noorden bij de Nieuwkoopse Plassen om buitenstudies te maken. Dit soort aquarellen op groot formaat lijken buiten geschilderd te zijn, maar in werkelijkheid maakte de kunstenaar ze in zijn atelier. Weissenbruch gaf in deze voorstelling de weerspiegeling van de lucht in het water subtiel weer. Het geeft de toeschouwer het gevoel zo het landschap in te kunnen stappen.
