English: More than 1,500 paratroopers participate in the lottery portion of the 14th Annual Randy Oler Memorial Operation Toy Drop, Dec. 9. Each paratrooper traded a toy for a lottery ticket and a chance to earn foreign jump wings. Hosted by the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne), Operation Toy Drop is the largest combined airborne operation in the world. The donated toys will be distributed to childrens' homes and social service agencies across the country. (U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt. Thaddius Dawkins)(Released). |
