| Description |
Canada aspires to be a place where prosperity and opportunity are within reach for everyone – no matter who you are or where you come from. And so it was special delight to attend and speak at the opening of the AFN General Assembly today in my home of Regina. I was honoured to have joined the Grand Entry this morning, alongside the Chiefs, Elders, veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP, and my colleagues from the government. As the Leader of Canada's Conservatives, I am determined to build a relationship with Indigenous peoples based on mutual respect, trust, and a desire to create prosperity and opportunity for everyone in our country. Le Canada veut être un endroit où la prospérité et les possibilités sont à la portée de tous, peu importe qui vous êtes ou d’où vous venez. Ce fut un plaisir d’assister et de prendre la parole aujourd’hui à l’ouverture de l’Assemblée générale de l’APN chez moi à Regina. Ce matin, j’ai eu l’honneur de participer au Défilé solennel aux côtés des chefs, des anciens, d’anciens combattants des Forces armées canadiennes et de la GRC, et de mes collègues du gouvernement. À titre de chef des conservateurs du Canada, je suis déterminé à bâtir avec les peuples autochtones des relations fondées sur le respect mutuel, la confiance et une volonté de créer une prospérité et des possibilités pour tout le monde au pays. |
