This trunk road was constructed with a view to giving access to settlers whomight hereafter locate in the townships of Little. Evelyn, and the townships to thev/est thereof, west of the Frederickhouse Eiver: and also to give to settlers locatedin tlio townships of Teefy and Walker, east of the Abitibi Eiver, access to therailway. It wdll lie necessary to construct on the Frederickhouse Eiver a bridsCat the foot of Fi-ederickhouso Lake. 24 EEPORT ON Xo. 80 Road No. 30. Townshi)!) of Clergue. In the Township of Clergue, on the Temiskaming and Northern Outar*iloEailway, south of Kelso Station a road cut out about three years ago as a winterroad for mining purposes was widened from 30 feet to 66 feet, and grubbed readyfor grading. This road commences at the centre of the township and runs east be-tween Concessions 3 and 4 from Lots 7 to 12. The same road was cut out the fullwidth east from the centre of the township across Lots 6 to 1 inclusive, and fromthe same point it was cut out the full width across the 3rd and 2nd Concessions,and north across part of the 4th, 5th, and part of the 6th Concessions. A road was also cut out the usual width, and grubbed, along the boundarybetween the townships of Clergue and Walker, across the 4th and part of the 5thConcessions. Half a mile of the road between Lots 6 and 7, Concession 4, waswell graded and ditched. A bridge was constructed on the 5th Concession andsome corduroy laid. T
