Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Tower was built in 1840, it is the second oldest lighthouse in Lake Ontario. Originally built out of poor quality limestone the building deteriorated so it was encased within a wooden frame in 1894. Lantern was removed in 1952.

Tower Height: 21 meters (68ft) Focal Plane: 23.5 meters (77ft) above water level

There is a story that goes with this:

I wanted to go into the Presqu'ile Provincial Park for just for a few minutes to get my pictures of the lighthouse, but because of the covid restrictions they would not let me drive in but I could walk if I wanted. I asked how far, 3+ kilometers, and because I wanted the pictures I parked the car and started walking. It was taking a long time and just for fun I stuck my hand out to try and hitch a ride. Well to my surprise a truck stopped and picked me up, drove me to the lighthouse, waited for me to get my pictures and drove me back to the car - AWESOME experience.
