Description
English: U.S. Army Reserve Cpl. Mark Melvin, a squad leader from Orlando, Fla., with the 389th Engineer Company, explains the workings of an improvised explosive device July 20 during IED awareness training at Fort Chaffee, Ark., during Operation River Assault. Soldiers with the 689th Eng. Company, 420th Engineer Brigade and 412th Theater Engineer Command Deployable Command Post, conducted route clearance training in addition to IED awareness training, medical training, weapon familiarization and a dismounted patrol.
