ssions at thesides of the verumontanum. Cowpers glands are of moderatesize, subcircular, compact in structure, with a thick muscularcapsule. The corpus spongiosum commences by a plexus ofveins affecting a parallel course around the membranous part ofthe urethra, but convolute in diverse directions to form the bul-bous expansion; advancing from which the veins become reducedto two or three in number, running parallel with each other andthe urethra. The cavernous part of the penis forms a slendercylinder, it extends forward beneath the linea alba, closely con-nected therewith, making a ridge along that part of the abdo-minal surface; then becoming free and receiving a reflectedcovering of skin, or prepuce, anterior to which usually dependsa tuft of hair.
