Description

Cres is a beautiful island in the Adriatic Sea, belonging to Croatia. The distant mountains in the background are part of the Istrian peninsula.

The image shows an experiment with tonal mapping (simulating HDR). This time the starting point was a single exposure. The jpeg-image obtained from the unmodified raw file without any post processing can be seen here: <a href="https://www.flickr.com/gp/bernd_thaller/52t657">www.flickr.com/gp/bernd_thaller/52t657</a>

It is amazing what amount of details can still be extracted from the shady regions.
