English: View of Yosemite Valley (Half Dome at right, Cloud's Rest at left) from the Olmsted Point overlook on the Tioga Pass Road (route 120). Olmsted Point is named in honor of the landscape designers Frederick Law Olmsted Senior (designer of Central Park, the Biltmore Estate, and many other US parks) and Frederick Law Olmsted Junior, both of whom worked on the concept and layout of Yosemite National Park. Sierra Nevada mountains, California. |
