Description
Polski: Cmentarz żydowski przy ulicy 3 Maja. Na macewie po prawej - lew. Jeden z najbardziej rozpowszechnionych w Polsce symboli na żydowskich cmentarzach. Jest biblijnym symbolem pokolenia Judy. Juda był jednym z 12 synów Jakuba, który umierając błogosławił go słowami: “Młody lwie, Judo, synu mój, na zdobyczy, synu mój wzrosłeś, czai się jak lew i jak lwica, któż go spłoszy?”Dodatkowo dzban i misa oznacza grób Lewitów czyli potomków plemienia Lewiego. Do ich zadań należały funkcje pomocnicze podczas ceremonii świątynnych. Obmywali kapłanom dłonie wodą.
