Polski: Cmentarz żydowski przy ulicy 3 Maja. W tradycji żydowskiej do obowiązków kobiety należy zapalanie świec szabatowych i chanuki oraz ich błogosławienie. Stąd na grobach kobiet pojawiają się świeczniki. Najczęściej są one wieloramienne o nieparzystej liczbie ramion. Czasem na nagrobkach ilość ramion świecznika odpowiada ilości osieroconych przez kobietę dzieci. Ptaki stanowią popularny motyw występujący zwłaszcza na grobach kobiet. Ptak jest alegorycznym przedstawieniem duszy, więc odlatujący ptak oznacza też ulatującą duszę. |
