Description
English: I was looking for an amplifier enclosure... and I found THIS. An old tube preamp that I made around 2000. All tubes (both in phono and line stages) are loaded into Gary Pimm battery-biased mosfet current sources.After more than 20 years, some batteries still hold the rated voltage, others are way down but not completely dead. None had leaked. They don't build batteries like this anymore.
Русский: Искал подходящий корпус для усилителя, и нашёл ЭТО. Лампово-полупроводниковый предусилитель, который я собрал около 2000 года, запустил, даже отчасти отладил - но никогда не использовал. Обычные пассивные ламповые схемы, но в нагрузках - источники тока по схеме Гери Пимма (два МДП-транзистора и две батарейки смещения в каждом). По прошествии двадцати лет некоторые батарейки еще держат номинальное напряжение, другие подсели но не сдохди совсем, и ни одной протечки. Умели же делать... но больше не будут.
