Description
Deutsch: Trunkene alte Frau mit großer, reliefverzierter lagynos (hellenistischer Weinkrug). Marmor, Kopie nach einem Werk des 2. Jahrhunderts v. Chr. (200-180). Die berühmte »Trunkene Alte« ist nach römischer Überlieferung von einem Künstler namens Myron geschaffen.
English: Drunken old woman clutching a big lagynos (Hellenistic wine jug) decorated with reliefs. Marble, Roman copy after a Greek original of the 2nd century BC (200–180). According to Roman tradition, this famous statue type was credited to an artist called Myron.
Français : Vieille femme ivre serrant contre elle un lagynos (jarre de vin typique de la période hellénistique) décoré en reliefs. Marbre, copie romaine d'après un original grec du IIe siècle av. J.-C. (200-180). Ce type statutaire célèbre était attribué à un dénommé Myron selon la tradition romaine.
