[edit]DescriptionOld Governor's Mansion, Topeka, KS.jpg |
English: Governor's Mansion, 801 Buchanan Street, Topeka, Kansas. Built in 1887, it was designed by architect James Clinton Holland (1853-1919). It was purchased by the state in 1901, served as the executive mansion until 1963, then razed in 1964. Elements of the building (bay windows, staircase and balcony) were installed in the Ramada Inn built that year in another part of the city. |
