English: The official flag of the City of Albany.
The colour grey represents Albany's rare metals industry, one of South Albany High School's colours, as well as Interstate 5 and Highway 20. The blue represents one of West Albany High School's colours, as well as the convergence of the Calapooia and Willamette Rivers. The totality of the blue and grey portions forms an "A", standing for Albany. The Green stands for the local agriculture, and Linn County being the "Grass Seed Capital of the World". The flag was designed by the Greater Unified Albany Vexillogical Association, a collective of students from West Albany High School. |
