| Description | Epitaph für den Vogt Barthlin Blanckenhorn († 23. März 1723) an der Westfront der ev. Kirche in Schliengen-Obereggenen. Text nach Hans Trenkle: Heimatgeschichte der Gemeinden Obereggenen und Sitzenkirch sowie der Probstei Bürgeln, Selbstverlag, 1930, S. 119: „Mein Pilgrim, In dieser grabstätt ruhen die gebeine des Weylands Ehre-Vesten und Vorgeachten Herrn Barthlin Blanckenhorns, Vogts, Nun durch Jesum eines Erbes Himmels. Er fing an durch Gott zu leben vor 64 Jahre, Verheurathe sich a. 1683 mit Jungfrau Magd. Hoppin, Ward gesegnet mit 6 Kinder und 6 Enkelin und starb im Herrn seel. d. 23. Mart. 1723 als ein person, die gewesen ein Freund der Kirche und Diener Gottes, eine Zierde Oberegenheims, ein Trost des Ehegatten, ein Freund der Kinder, eine Rast der Betrübten. So einverleibt man den Namen der Unsterblichkeit. Womit lebe wohl und strebe nach dem Himmel, lebt auch wohl ihr Nachkommen! Die hinterbliebene Frau Magdalena Blanckenhornin, geborene Hoppin starb auch sanft und seelig im Herrn anno 1739 d. 25. hornung Ihres Alters 80 Jahr.“ |
