Description Circle No. 1 in Oakwood Cemetery, Parsons, Kansas, was purchased by the Grand Army of the Republic, Antietam Post No. 64 in May of 1886. The two 8-inch, 9,250-pound Columbiad cannons were gifted by the war department and placed in the circle in 1898. The 28-foot tall concrete rotunda was constructed in 1905.
