Summary
[edit]DescriptionOakmeadow Ford Lock - geograph.org.uk - 19589.jpg |
English: Oakmeadow Ford Lock. This is where the beautiful Caldon Canal joins the River Churnet for a short stretch. If the level indicator at the bottom of this lock (see the supplemental image for this square) shows anything higher than 6", then you can't proceed in a boat to Froghall along this stretch. The day we went, it was at 18"... so we didn't even attempt it! Photo taken at MR: SJ98885018 looking in a NW direction. |
