| Description | There is a good chance this county courthouse is closer to the county line than any other courthouse in the U.S. If it's not, it is surely one of the closest. A person living in Tonopah visiting the courthouse, if they take the main roads, must leave the county between Tonopah and the courthouse before they arrive at the courthouse, just inside the county line. A person committing a crime maybe 300 yards (if that) from the courthouse (in full view of the courthouse) would be arraigned 30 miles away in Goldfield. |
