Description
English: Service 303 is a shuttle between the city centre and this park-and-ride location in Birstal, with one intermediate stop which claims to be for the space centre, but seems to be about a 20 minute walk away from it.
Electric buses were introduced on Leicester's Park and Ride services on 24 May 2021 and are branded "Greenline". They are Yutong E12 electric buses with a seating capacity of 39 seats and 30 standing. There is an initial fleet of 11 to serve the three park-and-ride routes. An additional fleet of 4 similar vehicles are used on the HH (Hospital Hopper) which shuttles across town calling at all 4 hospitals. The batteries, at 423kWh should manage a whole days service without needing an intermediate recharge. The buses are charged, stored, and operated from Roberts Travel Group's depot in Coalville.
