Summary
[edit]DescriptionNuclear power station from railway line - geograph.org.uk - 1294209.jpg |
English: Nuclear power station from railway line The Torness nuclear power station was the last of the second generation of such power stations. In the 1970s, in the lead-up to its construction, it attracted a large amount of opposition, including a site occupation, at which this member was a participant. Nowadays, some Greens, including this one, have come to the realisation that nuclear power, not producing CO2 in its generation process, offers a "lesser of two evils" when set against the unimaginable scale of the threat of global warming.
