English: Notice board outside St Rhuddlad's Church, Llanrhuddlad The board bears the correct spelling of Rhuddlad. This not the case with the case with the OS map which uses the archaic "Llanrhyddlad". What is striking about this parish is the degree of Anglicization which has taken place in the past few decades. Today, not one Welsh service is held at this the church of which Nicander, an eminent Welsh poet and scholar, was the vicar in the mid 19thC. |
