| Description | Shouts, hugs and giggles of many families meet several Soldiers of the North Carolina National Guard's 113th Sustainment Brigade at the Gibsonville, North Carolina ‘Touch a Truck’, a first responder educational event to inform children about those who build, serve and protect their community, held downtown, Aug. 5, 2017. The 113th ‘Steel Brigade’ Soldiers brought the diesel powered tools of their trade, several medium tactical vehicles and a humvee joining local police, fire, rescue, other government agencies and a variety of civilian heavy equipment at the park in the center of town. Children scrambled aboard the vehicles as the Soldiers, many combat veterans, answered questions about their equipment, missions and deployments and posed for numerous photos. “It is cool, you don’t see them (the military vehicles) often,” said Shanna Jolley of Reidsville, North Carolina.
