Description

c/n 14-664 Built 1943 as an AT-16 for the US military with the serial 42-12417 Delivered directly to the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) as a Harvard IIb with the British military serial FE930. Struck off charge in 1946 and by 1949 was flying with the Royal Netherlands Air Force with the serial B-163. Retired in November 1962 and sold off, she was put on display in Haarlem by 1966 but by 1980 she was derelict in a scrapyard. Brought to the UK by Tony Hutton in 1986 to act as a spares source for other Harvard projects, she was eventually cosmetically restored and placed on display at Harrington in a false US Navy scheme. She arrived at Newark in August 2010 and is seen in the workshop during a thorough restoration. Newark Air Museum Winthorpe, Nottinghamshire, UK
