Summary

[edit]
Description

c/n SA-32 Built as an AT-6C with the c/n 88-12127 and the US military serial 41-33606. Immediately transferred to the RAF as a Harvard IIa with the British military serial EX633. Shipped directly to the South African Air Force with the serial 7349. Returned to the RAF in 1946 and brought back to the UK before being sold to the Belgian Air Force where she flew as H-29 until 1959. Then registered to Air France as F-BJBI and modified to look like an F4F Wildcat, although, as Joe Baugher has so eloquently put it “at long range, in fog and with the sun in your eyes”. She then had a number of private owners before becoming part of the Salis collection in 1979. Rebuilt in 2008 to vaguely represent an A6M Zero, at which time she gained the new c/n SA-32 and also underwent an identity swap with F-AZBE, c/n 88-12304. Seen taxiing in after displaying at the 2019 Fête Aérienne Le Temps Des helices (Aerial Festival – The Time of the Propellers). Aérodrome de Cerny-La-Ferté-Alais, Cerny, France
