Summary
[edit]DescriptionNordurseta1-eng.png | Map of the northern hunting grounds of the Norse in medieval Greenland called Nordurseta – Norðurseta (also spelled Nordseta or Nordursetur). The exact location is not known but it was probably approximately from modern Upernavik in the north to Sisimiut in the south. The red dots indicate the two known remains from the medieval Norse in the area, the rune stone from Kingittorsuaq and the ruin called “The Bear Trap” (in Danish "Bjørnefælden”) . The names are modern English spelling of probable geographic areas based on medieval written sources. |
