Description

I månedene før jul 1944 ankom til Sverige et større antall flyktninger nordfra. De hadde lyktes å unnkomme fra den tyske tvangsevakuering av Finnmark og Troms. På veien til den norske mottagercentralen på Kjesäter passerte flyktningene Stockholm. Bildet viser en familie ved matbordet.

Norsk bokmål: Kopiert fra Riksarkivets Flickr-album «8. Nordnorske flyktninger», fotografier valgt ut fra «NTBs krigsarkiv - bilder av nordmenn i Sverige under 2. verdenskrig»: Tyskernes tvangsevakuering av befolkningen i Finnmark høsten 1944 forårsaket en ny norsk flyktningestrøm til Sverige. Mange hundre finnmarkinger flyktet under dramatiske og strabasiøse forhold. Svenske myndigheter iverksatte betydelige hjelpetiltak i samråd med det norske flyktningskontor i Stockholm. Øde grensestrekninger ble avpatruljert og proviant og forsyninger ble lagt ut. (Alle bildene i albumet er merket med No known copyright restrictions.)
