Description
English: Attack of the Royal Swedish Lifeguard of the Upplanders and Åbo regiments against the island of Uransari, near the village of Piatis, against the Imperial Russian troops under the command of Major General Buxhövden and the Brigadier Prince Metscherskoj. On May 26 / June 6, 1790, one hour past midnight.
  • The dates seem to have been mixed up: A Swedish detachment of 3,000 men landed at Björkö (Primorsk) on 7 June, but was not involved in any serious fighting; on 16 June, however, the Swedes landed at Uransari and captured the Russian battery at Kachis Capel - which is the event referred to in the text - Julius Mankell: Anteckningar rörande finska arméens.. (1870). pp. 491, 493.
