Description
English: The Nordenfelt Submarine attracted considerable interest all over Europe. The Danish weekly Illustreret Tidende featured this illustration on October 4, 1885, along with an article describing how the new invention had been demonstrated in the Sound for king Christian IX of Denmark and his son in law, the Prince of Wales, along with other dignitaries. The illustration shows an early version with larger conning tower, putting up steam.
