Description
Norsk bokmål: Fridtjof Nansen smaker på maten ved bespisningen av foreldreløse gutter i en sommerleir. Leiren ble drevet av Near East Relief ved Arpa-tsjaj elven utenfor Aleksandropol. Fridtjof Nansen står mellom Miss Belle Bass fra New York som er leder for barnehjemmet og Joseph Beach, fra Bangor, Maine, lederen for Near East Relief. Ett av bildene fra reisen gjennom Armenia i perioden 7 juni til 2 juli 1925. På anmodning fra Det Internasjonale Arbeidsbyrå (ILO) og Folkeforbundet reiste Fridtjof Nansen sammen med en utpekt kommisjon sakkyndige for å besøke landet og undersøke planer for kunstig vanning av ørkenområder med tanke på å overføre armenske flyktninger dit. (Leninakan).
English: Fridtjof Nansen is tasting the food at the orphaned boys' meal time in a summer camp. The camp was run by Near East Relief, by the Arpa-tsjaj River outside of Aleksandropol. Fridtjof Nansen is standing between Miss Belle Bass from New York, who is the manager of the orphanage; and Joseph Beach from Bangor, Maine, the leader of Near East Relief. One of the pictures from the trip through Armenia, in the period June 7 to July 2, 1925. On request of the International Labour Union (ILO) and the League of Nations, Fridtjof Nansen travelled together with an appointed committee of experts, visiting the country and looking at the plans for artificial irrigation of parts of the desert, in order to relocate refugees there. (Leninakan).

Fridtjof Nansen steht zwischen Miss Belle Brass aus New York, die das Kinderheim leitet, und Joseph Beach aus Bangor, Maine, Leiter des Near East Relief. Eines der Bilder von der Reise durch Armenien im Zeitraum 7. Juni bis 2. Juli 1925. Auf Aufforderung des Internationalen Arbeitsbüros (ILO) und des Völkerbunds reiste Fridtjof Nansen zusammen mit einer ausgewählten Kommision Fachleuten zu einem Besuch im Lande, um die Pläne für künstliche Bewässerung der Wüstengebiete zu untersuchen. Fridtjof Nansen staat tussen Miss Belle Bass uit New York, hoofd van het tehuis, en Joseph Beach uit Bangor, Maine, leider van de organisatie ³Noodhulp aan het Nabije Oosten². Een foto van de reis door Armenië in de periode 7 juni tot 2 juli 1925. Fridtjof Nansen reisde samen met een groep specialisten naar Armenië als afgezant van de Internationale Arbeidersorganisatie (ILO) en de Volkenbond.
