Description
English: Engineer Wourtzel (with a white beard), top chief of the railroad construction in the entire Russian empire, sitting by the table together with his collaborators. To the right of him, engineer Eugen Podrutski and engineer Boris Seest (to the left possibly Serebolnikov ). They are probably in Wourtzel's own carriage attached to the train Petersburg-Vladivostok-Peking (the railroad station at Karimskaja). One of the pictures from the journey to Siberia between Aug. 2 and Oct. 26, 1913. Fridtjof Nansen continued his trans-Siberian journey by railroad, some of it recently finished, from Krasnoyarsk all the way to Vladivostok.

(De man links is eventueel Serebolnikov.)
