Mount Vernon Place Methodist Episcopal Church on the NE corner of Ninth and K Streets, NW as shown in the 6/23/07 "Washington Times". Dedicated in 1869, the church would within a few years be traded for the congregation's current building in the square bounded by Ninth, Tenth, K and Massachusetts Avenue (now Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church). The Convention Center currently occupies the site. |
