English: NAVAL BASE KITSAP-BREMERTON. Wash. (Nov. 30, 2015) – Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Equipment) 3rd Class Michael Toone, assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68), and a native of Salt Lake City, pulls on a main engine cylinder piston support beam in preparation for maintenance on the ship’s arresting gear. Nimitz is currently undergoing extended planned incremental maintenance availability at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, where the ship is receiving scheduled maintenance and upgrades.
