Description
English: The Nilgiri marten (Martes gwatkinsii) is the only species of marten found in southern India. It occurs in the hills of the Nilgiris and parts of the Western Ghats.
മലയാളം: ദക്ഷിണ പശ്ചിമഘട്ടത്തിലും നീലഗിരിക്കുന്നുകളിലുമായി കാണപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു അപൂർവ്വ തദ്ദേശീയ ജീവിയാണ് മരനായ അഥവാ കറുംവെരുക്. ഐ.യു.സി.എൻ. ചുവന്ന പട്ടിക പ്രകാരം വംശനാശ ഭീഷണിയുള്ള ജീവിയാണിത്.
