English: Bridges on the Oxford Canal south of Harborough Magna, Warwickshire, seen from the northwest. The brick bridge over the main line of the canal is Fall's Bridge, which carries the Rugby – Harborough Magna road (now the B4112) over the current line of the Oxford Canal near Newbold. The iron footbridge on the right crosses the Newbold Arm, which was original line of the canal and followed a circuitous route along the contours of the land around Newbold. In the 1830s the current more direct line of the canal, including Newbold Tunnel, and the old line is now abandoned after a few metres. The iron bridge is Grade II listed. |
