Русский: Данная карта Бразилии была составлена Виллемом Бло (1571-1638 гг.) — основателем знаменитой династии голландских картографов. Бло изучал астрономию, математику и технологии изготовления глобусов у датского ученого Тихо Браге до того, как он основал собственную студию по производству карт в Амстердаме. В 1633 году он был назначен официальным картографом голландской Ост-Индской компании. В 1635 году Бло совместно со своими сыновьями Жоаном и Корнелиусом опубликовал "Atlas Novus" ("Новый атлас") — 11-томное издание, включавшее в себя 594 карты.

Blaeu studied astronomy, mathematics, and globe-making with the Danish scholar Tycho Brahe before establishing his mapmaking studio in Amsterdam. In 1633, he was appointed mapmaker of the Dutch East India Company. In 1635, together with his sons Joan and Cornelis, Blaeu published the Atlas Novus (New atlas), an 11-volume work consisting of 594 maps.

En 1635, junto con sus hijos Joan y Cornelis, Blaeu publicó el Atlas Novus (Nuevo atlas), un trabajo de 11 volúmenes que constaba de 594 mapas.
