Description NEW YORK - Capt. Gordon Loebl, commander, Coast Guard Sector New York, pins the Silver Lifesaving Medal on George Chait, during a ceremony in Battery Park, N.Y., May 20, 2013. Chait was awarded this medal for his heroic actions while attempting to rescue a couple caught in a rip current in the British Virgin Islands in January of 2012.
