English: Nevers (Nièvre)
Tour Goguin (XIIe siècle). Tour défensive, élément des remparts (tour d'angle sud-ouest), construite au XIIe siècle et modifiée en 1419. Aux XVIIe et XVIIIe siècles, elle deviendra un moulin à vent. Anciennement "tour de Cuffy" (mais aussi tour Ninchat, tour du Moulin à vent), elle porte le nom de son dernier propriétaire, "Goguin", qui l'a vendue en 1906. Au pied de cette tour se tenait le premier port de Nevers (quai des Mariniers), port aménagé par les faïenciers : "on y déchargeait le bois et la terre utiles à la fabrication des céramiques et on y chargeait les productions destinées à l’exportation. Ce havre fut comblé vers le milieu du XVIIIe siècle, et remplacé par un port aménagé plus en amont, au nouveau quai de Médine." (Rivages de faïence (Nevers, Nièvre) - Yves Roumegoux) La manufacture Deselle (1660) devenue la Royale en 1755, était voisine de la tour Goguin.
