| Description |
The summit headwall is about 100m high. Perhaps 45 degrees, it is not as scary or hard as reported. Most guided groups, particularly if you're new to mountaineering, will use fixed ropes to climb, easy, but slow. But if you've done mountaineering before, it is a nice climb apline style. At this point, you are above 6000m and really feeling the altitude (and of course the 1000m climb to here), but slow and steady and lots of little rests! We got a simply fantastic morning for the climb, crystal clear as you can see, perfect climbing conditions. |
