Title |
Neolithic flint leaf shaped arrowhead |
||
Description |
English: An early Neolithic flint leaf shaped arrowhead. The arrowhead has been finely finished, with invasive retouch applied to the entire surface of the dorsal face. The ventral face has also been retouched, although on this side the retouch is confined to the edges, butt and tip of the arrowhead. There is an interesting cone shaped flaw in the flint on the lower right side of the flint. The arrowhead is lozenge shaped in plan and lentoid in section. It measures 25.9 mm long, 16.9 mm wide, 3.6 mm thick and weighs 1.6 grams. The flint is a pale brown in colour and is slightly transluscent. |
