| Description |
English: Near California Crossing. Looking towards 556928 from near Barton Street as a DMU approaches Gloucester Eastgate Station on the former Midland Railway line from Bristol. On the left is Midland Road and beyond the allotments and wall to the right is Park End road. The right hand track diverged at this point and headed of to Gloucester Docks along the High Orchard Branch alongside the park. For a view in the other direction see 556939. Today much of this area is buried under Trier Way and Retail shopping outlets. |
