[edit]
Description
English: Meghan and Michael Speicher, children of lost Gulf War aviator Capt. Michael Scott Speicher, speak with AM3 Anthony Gist May 8 at the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation's Symposium 09, which was held at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Fla., May 7-8. Gist, an aircraft maintenance specialist with Speicher's former squadron, the VFA-81 Sunliners, had been sent to Pensacola the previous week to apply the squadron's markings, the POW/MIA logo, and the name Capt. Michael Scott Speicher to an F/A-18 Hornet. The aircraft was dedicated to the Speicher family in a ceremony at the close of the symposium. The F/A-18 will remain on permanent display outside NAS Pensacola's Naval Aviation Schools Command. (U.S. Navy photo by Mike O'Connor/Released
