Description
Deutsch: Guckloch-Blick aufs Stapeler Moor mit Windrädern am Horizont – Das 536 ha große Naturschutzgebiet „Stapeler Moor“ (NSG WE 143) ist der südlichste Überrest der ehemals schier endlosen ostfriesischen Zentralmoore. Nach der 1997 erfolgten Beendigung des genehmigten Torfabbaus wurde inzwischen die Renaturierung des Gebietes eingeleitet. Hierzu werden mit Hilfe von Raupen und Baggern Polder geschaffen, zwischen deren Dämmen aus Schwarztorf sich das Niederschlagswasser sammelt. An den älteren Poldern ist bereits zu erkennen, dass das Naturschutzgebiet hochmoortypischen Tier- und Pflanzenarten zunehmend Rückzugs- und Lebensraum bietet. Das NSG ist Teil des FFH-Gebietes 010 „Lengener Meer, Stapeler Moor und Basenmeers-Moor“. Im Norden grenzt das NSG WE 101 „Lengener Meer“, im Osten das NSG 176 „Spolsener Moor“ sowie im Süden das NSG 254 „Stapeler Moor Süd und Kleines Bullenmeer“ an. (Infoquelle: NLWKN)
