On Feb. 9, 2016, NSF leadership presented an overview of the President's fiscal year (FY) 2017 budget request for the agency of $7.964 billion, an increase of $500.53 million (6.7 percent) over the FY 2016 estimate. NSF’s assistant directors and office heads, including Roger Wakimoto, assistant director for Geosciences (left), and Pramod Khargonekar, assistant director for Engineering (right), held break-out sessions to discuss the FY 2017 budget requests for their directorates and offices.
