Description
English: The Maynard carbine, designed by Army dentist and inventor Dr. Edward Maynard, is a .50-caliber percussion breechloader. The First Model was fitted with the Maynard tape primer mechanism. This Second Model Maynard has no patchbox or tape primer mechanism. Manufactured by the Massachusetts Arms Company.
