English: Representatives from NASA participate in a media event at the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Saturday, Oct. 1 upon the arrival of NASA astronauts Nicole Mann, mission commander, Josh Cassada pilot, along with JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Koichi Wakata and Roscosmos cosmonaut Anna Kikina, who will serve as mission specialists, in advance of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-5 mission to the International Space Station as part of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program. Participants include: Janet Petro, director, NASA’s Kennedy Space Center; Bob Cabana, Associate Administrator, NASA; Junichi Sakai, Manager, International Space Station, JAXA. Launch is currently targeted at 12:00 p.m. EDT Wednesday, Oct.5. The SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, named Endurance by the Crew-3 astronauts, will launch on a Falcon 9 rocket from historic Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. |
